Live BandsHighly StrungHighly Strung is comprised of Bernadette McCoy and Mary O’Mahony on violins, and Justin McCoy on guitar and vocals. These three Sydney musicians were founding members of the popular Eighties orchestral rock group Hat Trick. Their repertoire is extensive and covers the styles of jazz, light classical themes from popular shows and instrumental arrangements of classical pop tunes, e.g. Beatle songs. The group has a range of international and folk music, which includes Irish and Scottish jigs and reels, Yiddish tunes and Gypsy Fiddle musicals, as well as popular tunes from many European countries. The main criteria are that the music is well known and is performed with enthusiasm and enjoyment on their part, which is invariably conveyed to the guests. Highly Strung generally performs acoustically which gives them the freedom to position themselves anywhere in the venue, providing ambience to mingle with the guests and play theatre requests if invited. Lasershoot: laser clay pigeon shootingYour staff and guests will be clamouring to test their skill and compete against each other on an individual or team level in a Lasershoot laser clay pigeon shooting competition. Special plastic clays are flung into the air from a conventional launcher. Shooters stand side by side and fire at the clays with deactivated 12 bore shotguns. When a shooter successfully hits a clay, an infrared light beam is reflected back into the receiver on their gun. Information assessing hits and misses is then relayed from each gun to the centralised scoreboard, complete with realistic sound effects. We provide an operator on board to set up and run the competition. Your guests can compete as individuals or as teams, making Lasershoot a novel idea for any event.
